Easter Sunday Reading - Easter Bunny and Having Faith in the Invisible

When I was a kid, I thought I saw the Easter Bunny, I was in a playground and I believe I saw his big ears just over the hill. It was the week before Easter and little Sandra was so excited for the magic of Easter morning…I probably made up seeing him in my imagination, but he was real to me.  I went to school and told my friends about seeing the Easter Bunny and they all laughed at me and made of fun of me.

Looking back from where I am now, I realize I have spent a lifetime afraid of sharing my excitement and my beliefs…afraid of what people might think.

Over 20 years ago a fear of death got me searching for the evidence of the afterlife. I found it in many ways and it gave me peace to live my life.

However I never told anybody, the same girl afraid of being laughed at or made fun of… stayed quiet. Until one day I took a chance and shared and guess what? No one laughed.

Sometimes we humans seem to think we have to see things to believe in them, but is that true?

A Curse and a Blessing

You are feeling it and so am I. Fear, worry, stress an uncertain future with probably a little relief thrown in that the alarm clock won't need to be set for tomorrow. We've spent several weeks in our home and really don't want to do any of the projects we said we'd do, "If only I had more time."

As awful as this pandemic is, I do believe we can all make choices. We can choose how we wish to see this situation. Please know I have full sympathy, sadness and compassion for those suffering in pain, solitude, grief with loss of lives and income. I don't want you to see me as heartless for talking this way. However living only seeing the negative on television and talking about gloom and doom can really create a negative patter for thinking in our brain.

In this moment you and I might be safe and sound. We may be in bed or on a couch reading this or having the television on nearby as we scroll through the internet. We are okay...for this moment. We have heard it before "This moment is all...
